Meet us in Würzburg 2019

Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to the “22nd International Symposium on Signal Transduction at the Blood-Brain Barriers”, which will be held from September
11th – 13th, 2019 in Würzburg, Germany and be hosted by the Fraunhofer ISC and University Hospital Würzburg. The venue for the conference will be the Conference Centre Würzburg CCW.

We have gathered relevant topics that will cover the latest developments in important areas of blood-brain barriers research including:

  • Brain Barriers in Development and Homeostasis
  • Novel Concepts in Drug Delivery Across the Brain Barriers
  • In vitro Modeling and 3Rs
  • Novel Approaches in Engineering Brain Barriers
  • Molecular Mechanisms Regulating Barrier Integrity
  • Pathology of the Brain Barriers – Clinical Aspects
  • Lifestyle, Diet and the Barriers
  • Role of BBB in Infection

We expect about 200 participants. Scientific sessions including two poster sessions, extensive breaks and two evening events will offer many opportunities for exciting discussions, academic exchange and reconnecting with old friends and colleagues. Since promotion of young scientists is a particular aim of this conference, a significant number of speakers will be selected from the best abstracts submitted from young scientists. The program will be completed by invited keynote lectures to present the international points of reference for this fast growing research field.

The deadline for submission of poster abstracts to be considered for Poster Presentation is July 15th, 2019.
The deadline for the Registration is August 21st, 2019

We look forward to welcoming you to BBB 2019 in Würzburg, Germany.
